These easy homemade chicken wings are a great example - so let's get to the good stuff.
Best Grilled Chicken Wings.
Ingredients.
1/4 cup avocado or olive oil
Juice of 3-4 limes
2 tbsp. smoked paprika
1 knob of fresh ginger, sliced thin
1 tbsp. turmeric
2 dozen wings
2 tbsp. kosher salt
1 bunch of cilantro, chopped -leaves only
8 cloves garlic, peeled and smashed
2 tsp. aleppo pepper or ancho chile powder
Method.
In a medium bowl, mix together oil and lime juice, then add paprika, sliced ginger, turmeric, smashed garlic and cilantro. Stir well.
In a large bowl, add chicken wings and blot dry with a paper towel.
Sprinkle salt over wings and use your hands to coat wings.
Place wings in a large zip lock bag, add marinade.
Shake bag to mix well.
Place bag in refrigerator and marinade overnight or longer. Shake bag a few times during marinade process.
Heat grill to 400 degrees.
Remove wings from marinade.
Add wings to hot grill and close the grill allowing wings to cook for 5 minutes, then flip wings.
Continue to flip the wings every 5 minutes until they cook for 20-25 minutes.
Serve with quartered limes.
