Chocolate Love Cake♥️

Sometimes we need chocolate, but sweet delicious treats can lead us down the path of eating the whole thing. Here's a sweet treat that's made with good-for-you ingredients plus you get to eat the whole cake too!

I never met a chocolate I didn't like.


  • 1 large egg

  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup

  • 3 tbsp. coconut milk [from can]

  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract

  • ¼ cup almond flour

  • 2 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder

  • Pinch of sea salt

  • 1 tbsp. dark chocolate chips, plus more for topping


  1. Whisk: In a 10-12 oz microwave-safe mug or ramekin, whisk together the egg, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract. 

  2. Mix the batter: Add almond flour, cocoa powder, sea salt,chocolate chips and fold the batter together until smooth. 

  3. Cook: Microwave on HIGH for 90 seconds. Carefully remove the mug from the microwave -it will be hot.  Test the texture of the cake. It should be springy.

  4. Cool: Add a sprinkle of chocolate chips on top. Let the mug cake cool for 1-2 minutes. Enjoy♥️
